The Virginity No One Speaks Of | St. Pelagia of Antioch

St. Pelagia of Antioch – Saints & Angels – Catholic Online.

Great and mighty men in this day and age don’t have the courage or purity of heart found in this young teenage girl.

At 15, “Roman soldiers came to her house to arrest her for being a Christian.  Rather than be arrested and risk losing her virginity, she hurled herself from the roof and died.”

She flung herself off the roof to save her purity.

She flung herself off the roof to save her purity.

Turn on the TV to any reality show, any of them, and you will see the debauchery and debasement that continually degrades the femininity of all women, often instigated and promulgated by women themselves, and then turn back and read that first sentence again.  This 15 year old girl flung herself off the roof to avoid the potential loss of her purity. What a backwards world we live in now, when 15 year old girls would fling themselves off a roof to lose their purity.

St. Pelagia of Antioch, pray for us.
