Interesting response to a technological issue – going old school!
I myself am not a fan of the open office concept with small exceptions. It can be used productively if there is mutual respect for the other workers sharing the space, and a basic sense of responsibility to one’s own work ethic and human dignity. I’ve seen it work on a small scale, but not without glitches of its own. A large scale implementation would require an immense anoint of employee on-boarding and dedication to still provide access to private areas without repercussions for seeking them. I just understand there are people who require more space and quiet to focus, and concentrate productively, and I’m one of them.
Well talk about a dose of humility…. as I type this on my blog…..
Something on my mind a lot lately as I sit more…. and more… and more. Graduate school does strange things to your body.
A super interesting article – the intricacy and level of detail mimics Downton Abbey….
